The Wisconsin Parity Bill (now AB 331) went in front of the Insurance Committee. Lobbyists of state insurance agencies met the bill with great resistance. A call for concrete evidence and cost analysis was made. The bill now is on hold pending the cost analysis report and the convening o the 2010 session.

WSOPP is anticipating the second return of the proposed Parity bill from the state drafters office by the end of May 2009. The bill will then be submitted to be assigned a Bill number. Once the bill has been assigned a number, each facility in the state should expect to receive a Parity packet with information to hand out to patients to support this bill.
